How Rhinoplasty can Improve Your Health

We all want a body that accurately reflects who we really are in our hearts, but even more importantly, we all want a body that works the way it should. There are plenty of reasons for elective rhinoplasty (commonly known as a “nose job”) in order to improve a woman or man’s appearance, of which increased self esteem is just one. But there can be important health reasons for the procedure as well.

A deviated septum (the septum is the bone and cartilage that separates your nostrils; when it is deviated that means it is significantly off-center or crooked) can cause difficulty breathing, aggravated snoring, and may be a cause in sleep apnea, which can damage the heart over time. You can be born with a deviated septum, or injury can cause the condition. Further, irregularities in the shape of the nasal passages prevent mucus from draining normally, allowing bacteria to build up and cause infections.

Rhinoplasty can address the chronic problems associated with a deviated septum including nosebleeds, constant nasal congestion, and snoring and even prevent future health issues such as recurrent sinus infections and heart disease as a result of prolonged sleep apnea. Rhinoplasty can also help alleviate severe or chronic allergies. When someone suffers from allergies, the nasal passages become inflamed and irritated. There are a number of rhinoplasty techniques being used to improve the state of allergy sufferers. In all of these cases patients experience an improved quality of life.

If you suffer from any of these conditions, call our office for a free consultation today. Many insurance providers will cover rhinoplasty when it will alleviate a serious health condition.

EmTone Tighten & Cellulite

EmTone Tighten & Cellulite

Cellulite can be a visible frustration that is hard to deal with. Many women start to notice dimpled skin on their legs and buttocks, but cellulite can appear in other areas as well. Once dimpled skin starts to appear, it can cause self-esteem issues.

You may feel uncomfortable wearing shorts or skirts, meaning cellulite can lessen your quality of life. This condition does not, however, pose any medical danger. EmTone is a device that has been designed to treat cellulite.
