Dr. Daniel Kuy arrived 17 years ago from Switzerland with extensive surgical training, a thriving plastics practice with focus on facial rejuvenation (which still operates today) and a plan to join a well-established facial plastic surgeon in Cincinnati. Kuy brought something special to Cincinnati; a multicultural view and advantage of exposure to differing procedures and innovations. Kuy is board certified in plastic surgery and general surgery in the United States and he is also a board certified surgeon in Switzerland.

During his time in the United States, Kuy continued to develop his diverse multi-specialty skill set and his passion to take personal care of his patients. Recently Kuy has become increasingly interested in returning to a sole-practitioner practice as he has established in Switzerland.

“I have matured over time,” he says. “Although I have enjoyed my time with my partners and experienced a great practice, I am ready to turn it up a notch in the new practice. This transition is more than a new location, it’s a new dynamic.”

His motivation derives from his mission to create a practice that will incorporate precision in all aspects, from management to patient care and from his conviction to individualize care and thus pay close attention to each patient. “It’s in my Swiss precision,” Kuy says. “It’s in my character. It happens that I am Swiss, but I am a precise person by nature. My profession is also one of my hobbies and I want to continue close report with my patients.”

Patient care is his heartbeat and he is always concerned for the overall health of his patients. “I would like to give my patients the fullest attention in all aspects,” he says. “I want them to feel like they are getting the best care directed from my end.” Kuy believes he can take care of his patients to a higher level as a solo practitioner. Kuy has been named “America’s Top Surgeons” by the Consumer Research Council of America and in 2015 “Cincinnati Top Doc” in the plastic surgery category in Cincinnati Magazine.

The doctor will open “Kuy Plastic Surgery” within the new Rookwood Exchange building, visible from I-71 at Smith-Edwards Road exit.

A full range of plastic surgery services will be offered, including facial rejuvenation, breast and body contouring and the latest laser and skin non-invasive skin tightening treatments. Kuy’s plan is to concentrate more on his love for facial rejuvenating procedures such as facelift and eyelid surgeries. “I want to be more involved with the newest technologies in skin care and skin cancer treatment. They have always been a major part of the plastic surgery specialty ... I felt a lack of engagement in the past and I want to reignite my facial practice. I enjoy it and I am good at it,” says Kuy.

The new practice will combine Kuy’s expertise in plastic surgery as well as non-invasive skin-care treatments, such as laser, light therapies and various peels and facials, provided by several experienced medical estheticians.

“I will have all of these services at the same place, all linked together. They all help to enhance the appearance of the skin, whether surgical or non-surgical. I would like to be more part of this combination.”

Kuy refers to it as a one-stop shop for healthy faces. His clients prefer to have all the products, care and services in one place. He emphasizes that these treatment plans can be better streamlined and individually directed in his new modern office, which is particularly designed for that purpose. A friendly and selected team will assist him providing precise and individualized care in a comfortable environment where privacy is emphasized.

The Rookwood building is conveniently located next to many of the most popular Cincinnati restaurants and shops, some being within the retail section of the building.

Kuy’s patients have expressed excitement for his decision. Kuy feels honored by the enthusiasm and loyalty his clients have shown throughout his career in Cincinnati. “My patients have come to me all of these years in their loyal way because they appreciate my personalized care,” says Kuy. For his patients from Kentucky Kuy has specially built out a satellite office in Crestview Hills
